Thinking
#1
I'm more of a free verse type of person.

Thinking

I had a thought.
Strong and bold, yet subtle as well.
A thought of an ending.
A thought that promised me peace, pure bliss and joy.
No more sadness, no more anger,
No more jealousy, hatred, or strife.
A thought that could end everything.

My mind encompassed this strange thought,
And for a time, embraced it.
Would it be courageous to absorb that thought,
Or simply cowardice and escape?

The thought grew tired with me,
It left me as my indecision grew.
It moved on to another mind,
Where its horrible promise could start anew,
And hurt another like me.

And now I find it hard to remember,
The thought that once consumed my soul.

But now I'm thinkin' that today sounds fine to me.

Yeah, slightly. Tongue

But now I'm thinkin' that today sounds fine to me.
