The Playstation 3

Toriban Wrote:Hmmmm... What to say about this console? Well, the quality of it's launch titles seems to be on par with that of the Xbox 360 (i.e. not very great.) I'm sure the overwhelming power of the console will allow for some great things, but at the present its not an appealing system. The interesting thing is how it's launch seems to be a repeat of the PS2. The PS2 sold so well in Japan at launch because it was the cheapest DVD player on the market. Seems like the PS3 is the cheapest Blu-ray player on the market, or close to it.

I'll have to be completely wow-ed by the games before I even think of picking one up, though.

I like when older games get remakes and sequels, and the PS3 could make my dreams come true. (Well, if anyone cared about my dreams, anyway.)

So, games that would make me buy a PS3:

Chrono Break (Square-Enix)

Final Fantasy VII (remake) (Square-Enix)

Wild ARMs: Alter Code S (Media Vision)

Shin Megami Tensei: Anthology (Atlus)

Redemption of Sorrow: Final Fantasy IV (Square-Enix)

Panzer Dragoon Sagas 2 (Sega)

Lufia: Sinistral's Rebirth (Natsume)

Indeed, I agree.

At the moment, Microsoft's XBOX 360 console system has the majority of the 7th generation console market share, as it has been out the longest out of all the other two consoles (P3/Wii). Overtime, it is unknown which will takeover another console system over another.

In my opinion, the PS3 may be a bit too expensive for many, unless if they really wanted that Blu-ray drive to watch Blu-ray type disks; as we are currently in the midst of a next-gen optical disk media war between the HD DVD and Blu-ray, which one hasn't seen since the war of the analog disk media war between VHS and Betamax. Some will opt for the $100-200 less XBOX 360, either for costs or a more broad console game listing, or the even cheaper Nintendo Wii that has some compelling features of its own; such as full backward compatibility, "point-and-click" (as I like to say) controller, and others.

Now, even though I haven't played the Final Fantasy series, although I have played one of them on one of my cousin's PS2 a year ago, most likely FFX, revisions for next-generation console systems with better graphics is certainly welcomed by fans. Smile

Do you think that pr0n will be the deciding factor in the Blu-ray vs HD wars, like it was in the Betamax vs VHS war?

I hope not, the last thing I want at my school is another group like those retardds who play sports games. Sports need to stay off games and outside. Another group telling how great the pr0n looks would just be annoying.
