In an unexpected turn of events, Microsoft has released the third service package for its Office 2003 suite.
Included is the previous two service packages, a number of hot patches and fixes, and stability and security enhancements.
For those affected, this really does resolve the amount of time it takes to go through Windows Update (or Office Update) to download just SP3 and one is done with updating their office suite. This certain was the case for me two weekends ago fixing one of my systems by reinstalling Office 2003, then going through and downloading SP2 (and install SP2), then going back and downloading and applying the 20+ patches and hotfixes.

This unexpected service package is much appreciated to just download one huge file and apply it all at once. Now, Microsoft, where's my Windows XP Service Package 3?
